- Round 2 — You revise.
You make the changes that work for your story.
- Round 3 — We edit.
Chapter by chapter, with you approving each chapter before I move on.
- Round 4 — I proofread.
The final full-manuscript polish.

I know what I'm doing.
With 2+ years of experience in publishing as a lead editor, ghostwriter, and freelance editor, I know what to look for beyond spelling mistakes and misplaced commas.
I'm anti-AI, through and through.
I wouldn't under any circumstances use AI to edit your work—and I can prove that a human edited it. (Though, honestly, you wouldn't even need the proof.)
I get invested.
Fair warning: I will probably get obsessed with your characters, have strong opinions about your plot choices, and have entirely too many thoughts about your book. That's just part of the job when I care about the stories I work on.

Reader reactions before you publish
DM you my reader reactions (emojis, expletives, physical reactions—nothing you don’t deserve) during the first read-through of your manuscript.
5.
Wear all the hats (with no expectations)
Help you out with whatever you need: My opinion on your cover, writing the blurb, new reel ideas—I’ve got you.
I will also call you out on certain practices that might cost you your career.

Go one step further
I'll include a love letter in the editorial review (with developmental edits).
Hi! I’m M. Phoenix (my pen name as an author and editor). After working as the lead editor and ghost writer for more than two years in a publishing firm that ran three different imprints, I’ve gone independent and am working with indie authors (and absolutely in love with my life).
My Published Works:
Let It Fall is the story of Giselle, Chris, and Xavier.
How after the loss of her mother, Giselle wants nothing more than to feel loved again. How Chris has been in love with Giselle since he was ten years old and doesn’t know how to navigate his life without being irrevocably in love with her. And how Xavier’s past keep bleeding into his relationship with Giselle, and he sees nothing but darkness in the future.
It’s a character study. A deeply moving story of intertwined lives, back-breaking grief, deteriorating mental health, and unrequited love.
